Hornet

Description

Flying ARC drones with electric shock attacks that stun players on hit. Hornets are semi-plated aerial units that hover aggressively and close distance to deliver debilitating electric discharges. Getting stunned by a Hornet in a firefight is often a death sentence.

Behavior

Hornets fly at medium altitude and dive toward players to deliver electric shock attacks. Each hit has a chance to briefly stun the target, locking their movement and aim. They pull back after an attack run before diving again. Their semi-plated armor absorbs some frontal damage, but their rear thrusters are always exposed.

• 1Prioritize Hornets in mixed encounters. Their stun effect can lock you in place while other ARCs shred your health.
• 2Wait for them to dive toward you, then sidestep and shoot their exposed rear thrusters for maximum damage.
• 3Automatic weapons work well since you need sustained fire to chew through their semi-plated armor.
• 4If stunned by a Hornet, call it out to teammates so they can cover you during the brief lockout.
