Leaper

Description

Assault-class ARC machine (also known as Bison) that leaps extraordinary distances and releases a kinetic energy shockwave on landing. Leapers are large, powerful units that close gaps instantly with their signature leaping attack, making distance and cover much less effective against them.

Behavior

Leapers track player positions and launch themselves into massive leaps covering 20-30 meters. On landing, they release a kinetic shockwave that damages and staggers all players in a wide radius. Between leaps they engage with melee strikes and ground pounds. They are relentless in pursuit and their mobility makes them one of the most aggressive large ARC types.

• 1When you see a Leaper crouching to jump, sprint sideways immediately. The landing shockwave has a large radius.
• 2Shoot the central eyeball for triple damage. It is a small target but the payoff is huge.
• 3Damaging leg joints reduces its leap distance and can slow its ground movement between jumps.
• 4Do not assume distance keeps you safe. Leapers close 20-30 meter gaps in a single bound.
